A fairly good sized crowd showed up for the gig tonight. The opener was a band called 'Elm Street' from Australia. They were fairly decent. I especially enjoyed the cover they did of 'Metal Health' by Quiet Riot. UDO came on right @ 9:00. They played a lot of classics, including 'Aiming High', 'Breaker', 'Bulletproof', 'Objection Overruled', 'Midnight Mover' and 'Fast As a Shark'. The encore was 'Princess of the Dawn', 'Metal Heart', and -of course - 'Balls to the Wall'. The band was solid and tight. The sound was also very clear, not muddy. If my intel is right, Udo's son was the drummer. The bass player looked to be in Udo's age range. The two guitar players were noticeably younger. Solid players, all of them. I think a great time was had by nearly everyone tonight. Comments?
