So, tonight my friends in Boneyard opened for local Motorhead tribute act Motorhezbollah. 'Twas a good night. About 30-40 people in attendance when the bar was busiest. Boneyard played a set comprised of mostly originals, plus 'The Trooper' by Iron Maiden. I would encourage rock fans to go see Boneyard 'cos they ROCK. The headliners played a solid - if a bit short - set. Orgasmatron, Iron Fist, Killed by Death, Ace of Spades, Overkill plus a few others. The ad for the show promised Motorhead videos to be shown in the bar 'till 10PM (when Boneyard was scheduled to start) but that didn't happen. Below is a video of the mighty Motorhezbollah rehearsing Ace of Spades. Yes, they are from right here in Edmonton.

So, Back in late September, I signed up with Comwave for internet & phone service. There were problems right from the start. I signed up for an internet30 plan, which, of course, means 30 MBPS speed. I later found out, through www.speedtest.net that I was getting less than 15 MBPS speed. I tried to stick with Comwave & work through the issue, but to no avail. So, in mid-November I cancelled the service & went through Shaw. Now, I've been hit with a $200 early cancellation fee! At no time did anyone tell me anything about any early cancellation fee. The lesson, boys & girls, is don't be impressed by flashy commercials promising you great things for a low price. And think twice before you decide to choose Comwave as your internet provider. BTW, I'm still using their phone service as that is decent. Comments? |
