No, they did not (as far as I know) release a 30th anniversary edition of this album. Sonic Temple is the biggest selling album of their career. It spawned a bunch of hits: FireWoman, Sweet Soul Sister, Sun King, Edie (Ciao Baby). Metallica invited them to open up on the ...And Justice For All tour, a decision they (Metallica) later regretted. I know that they (The Cult) were booed off stage on the Edmonton date of that tour. Don't get me wrong, I really like the Cult; they've had some excellent albums and, imho, one clunker: Born Into This. But they have a reputation as a disappointing live act. I've posted a review of the Edmonton stop on the "Ceremony" tour, and, in contrast, that show was smoking. Sonic Temple is an excellent album and, although I do not consider them a metal band, they were often - in their heyday - mentioned in the same publications, such as Circus & Hit Parader. Sonic Temple is an excellent album from beginning to end and still stands up today.
