| In '99 there was a lot of excitement, anticipation. The gig was at a (usually) country bar called Cowboys in the west end. As I recall, the place was packed. Lemmy & Co were a bit late getting on stage; I think they ran into some sort of trouble - someone help me out here. The only merch they were able to haul out were zippo lighters with the Motorhead logo. June 2/2000: This time the gig was at a bigger venue - the Agricom. And they brought more merch with them. A decent gig, although Lemmy apologized to the crowd partway through for the sound (feedback). 2005:On tour to support 'Inferno', imho one of their best works. Venue: Red's in WEM. They even played "Whorehouse Blues", an acoustic number. A solid gig. C.O.C & 3 Inches of Blood opened. In light of Lemmy's passing, please feel free to leave comments re:memories of meeting the man, gigs, etc. R.I.P Lemmy |
