This is a solid album, and the first to feature John Bush on vocals. From opener 'Potter's Field' to the closer 'This is Not an Exit' the musicianship & production sparkle. There is one ballad on the album, 'Black Lodge', perhaps Anthrax's answer to 'Nothing Else Matters' by Metallica? Joey Belladonna, after being ejected from the band, released a solo album on Mausoleum records. I confess I've never heard it. Unfortunately, this album,SOWN, which was set to be a breakthrough for Anthrax, never got the respect & recognition it deserved. They released several more with John Bush, which I have heard snippets from. As most people know, they reunited with Joey Belladonna in 2010/11 for 'Worship Music'. I've got no idea what John Bush is doing nowadays. The man's got a powerful voice & good stage prescence.
